Perched above the Bering Sea on the side of a rocky cliff, a horned puffin waits for it's mate to return.

Horned puffins spend most of their life at sea, coming to land in summer to breed and nest. This puffin was nesting inside a natural crevice and to get this shot I had to hang over the cliff's edge. The blue background is the ocean 500 feet below.
